Financial Freedom

Im tired of thinking hard for every rupiah i have spent. Im tired of cant buy anything i want to. Im tired of only can buy sale item if im going to shopping mall. Im tired of have what i need not what i want. My friend has told me on chat severals days ago. Should i take a shortcut to get more money?, she ask. I think the question was not for me, but for herself. And it was make me think. Does money really matter? Do we really need financial freedom?

Im sure we (definitely) need money. It was our basic need after water, fire, earth and air, err, what free now? Sure we cant life without money. And every day, our need was getting higher than before. When i was kid (cute-little-kid sure), i am happy because i get everything that i want to. Because all i want to be happy was only a glass of fullcream bendera milk, a panda dolls named Buntut (named after his long red tail) and a set of mini kitchenware made of clay. When me and Ibuk go to Gardena (at the time Gardena was the center of my shopping universe), all i want is just Hi Man sword (with gradation of light, two AA batteries) or new teddybear. Off course she’ll happily bought me one. Problem solved. With my friend, i can always found a non-money game to played. Benthik, jilumpet, betengan, sondahmandah, lumpatan and jamuran.

But life is a lot different now. As a 21 years old girl, the need is multiply. And i have to pay my own bill. My basic need become money to rent a room, xplor bill, brekfast-lunch-dinner-snack-and ice cream, feed my motorcycle with oil and gasoline, buy the sanitary and beauty things. And my second basic need was money to buy a new books, clothes, totebag and shoes with brand that i saw in cosmo. With my friends i can always found expensive game, play a pool, bowling, watch movie on 21, a glass of coffee latte and many other things. And my salary will never enough. I keep want to buy and buy and buy more things. But do i was really happy with that kind of life?

No it was. It is ourself that can say enough. Enough for buying-goodies-that-we-think-we-need-but-actually-we-dont. Enough to buy things because of its labels. To not make money as the source of everything. We are the control panel of our lives. We can choose. For me, I found bliss when i am walk my way home and feel the fresh air covering my face. I feel warm when see child playing happily in the backyard on the sunny day. And i feel a happiness in my heart if i can do anything to make a better world. Yes, there is something money cant buy.(cya)

*this is my first writing in english for this last 5 years, so i hope you can get me :”>
